Welcome to the Tudor Plays Project’s pilot website. Our work involves the development and dissemination of digital resources for the study and performance of Henrician drama.
A collaboration among faculty and students in English, Theatre, Music, and Computer Science, and the skilled professionals in ITS/Academic Technology Services at the University of San Diego, the Tudor Plays Project is housed in the Digital Humanities Studio within the university’s Humanities Center. Please explore this pilot website, where you will find information about the Tudor Plays Project and about our ongoing work on the project’s first play, Gentylnes and Nobylyte (c. 1525) — an anonymous debate comedy from the Renaissance Humanist circle of Thomas More. We welcome your comments and inquiries. Thank you for visiting!
The Tudor Plays Project gratefully acknowledges the funding support it has received from the Faculty Research Grant Program of the University of San Diego’s College of Arts and Sciences.
